1.What Is It?
Dynamine, technically known as methylliberine, is a trademarked purine alkaloid found in the kucha tea leaf and produced by the ingredient manufacturer Compound Solutions. Its a derivative of caffeine and its molecular structure is similar to theacrine (aka TeaCrine®, another ingredient Compound Solutions brought to the industry). Like theacrine, methylliberine may amplify feelings of energy, mood and focus by activating dopamine receptors and other key neurotransmitters, inhibiting adenosine receptors, all without elevating heart rate or blood pressure.
2.What Does It Do?
Dynamine is amongst an extremely rare class of bioactive ingredients that are strictly neuro-activating and do not have an effect on heart rate, blood pressure, or vasoconstriction. Dynamine stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), while not affecting the cardiovascular system. Because of this, these compounds have less of an impact on your adrenals than caffeine and other stimulants. Along with the reduced load on the adrenals, youll also experience a smaller increase in cortisol with Dynamine.
Some of the physical effects experienced from users of Dynamine are:
- Improved Performance
- Increased Energy
- Improved Cognition
- Elevated Mood
- No Crash or Jitters
Dynamine stimulates the release of the two neuro-transmitters, epinephrine (aka. adrenaline) and nor-epinephrine (aka. nor-adrenaline), which are responsible for increasing focus, mental alertness, energy and also utilising body fat for energy. Dynamine also activates our Dopamine receptors (both D1 & D2) to increase the amount of dopamine being released. Dopamine is known as the feel-good hormone in the body and is responsible for motivation, satisfaction, drive and number of other sensations. These effects are what gives Dynamine its very unique properties as an ingredient.
3.How Much Do I Need To Take?
While there has not been a clinical dose documented for Dynamine to reach its full effectiveness; it is commonly seen in dosages between 100 – 300 mg. The effectiveness of the dosing of Dynamine will also depend on the complete formula it is being utilised in. Being paired with other ingredients like TeaCrine®, Caffeine or other stimulant ingredients will change the experience of effects.
You do need to pay attention to how Dynamine is disclosed on your products nutritional panel. Most powdered supplement products will have Dynamine listed as Methylliberine (as Dynamine 40%) whereas some products may state it as Methylliberine (as Dynamine), note the missing 40%. Dynamine is the trademarked & produced product from Compound Solutions that yields Methylliberine as the active part of the ingredient that has been called Dynamine.
If your nutritional panel states Methylliberine (as Dynamine 40%) or maybe Dynamine yielding 40% Methylliberine at a dose of 200mg that means you are getting 200mg of the product called Dynamine that yields 40% Methylliberine equalling 80mg. We assume the reasoning for this 40% active content is in attempt to make the product Dynamine as tasteless as possible for flavoured powder supplements. As this is the same situation as it’s compound cousin, TeaCrine®.
Contrast to this you may find that most capsule products, not having to deal with the issue of flavours and taste, will not have 40% stated in the nutritional panel. This most probably due to the product containing pure Dynamine that should yield 100% Methylliberine. This is important to note as one products dose of Dynamine may not be equal to another companies dose of Dynamine if they used the Dynamine yielding 40% Methylliberine.
4.When Do I Take It?
Dynamine can be taken before anytime you require increased energy, improved physical performance and increased mental alertness and cognition. Due to Dynamine providing similar physical effects to caffeine, some of the ideal times to consume it are before a workout, before cardio and before any mentally demanding task (study, work, afternoon pick-me-up). You will find Dynamine commonly used in pre-workouts, fat burners and nootropic formulas.
5.How Long Does It Take To Work?
This is where Dynamine can really flex its muscles. Dynamine was designed to be a very fast acting ingredient. When compared to it’s compounding cousin, TeaCrine, that was designed to hit peak effectiveness between 1 – 2 hours after consumption; Dynamine has been designed to reach peak effectiveness within 15 – 30 minutes after consumption.
You will feel the effects of Dynamine from the first dose. Improvements in energy, mood and focus will noticed within the first 30 minutes of consuming the ingredient. Increased energy, improved physical performance and improved mental alertness & cognition have all been noted as initial effects of taking Dynamine.
Dynamine is a faster-acting version of TeaCrine®! The combination of the two gives you the best of both worlds. You can see the interaction of the two compounds to provide the perfect energy balance in the graph below.
6.What Are The Top Products?
