Do The Effects Match The Formula?
All too often we see formulas that look amazing on paper but, in the real world, they just don’t stack up the way wed hope. Force Element Performance has given us Warning Order, a complete pre-workout that, on paper, looks to be very impressive. The real question is how does it stack up in the real world were not gonna tell you here you have to read on and find out!
L-Citrulline Malate is L-Citrulline with Malic Acid added to the Citrulline. L-Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that gets converted into the amino acid L-Arginine by the kidneys. Once converted into L-Arginine which then goes on to increase nitric oxide (NO) levels in the blood. Increased nitric oxide has a vasodilation effect on blood vessels, allowing them to relax and open up which results in increased blood flow. Increased blood flow then results in increased oxygen and nutrient delivery within the blood to the working muscles which can improve endurance, power and recovery. Malic Acid enhances our aerobic (endurance) and anaerobic (explosive) energy production as it serves an essential role in the Krebs cycle which is the bodies process of converting the food we consume into energy. The combination of L-Citrulline and Malic Acid provides a one-two punch of blood flow, endurance and performance.
Dose p/serve: 6,000 mg of L-Citrulline Malate
Recommended dosage: 6,000 – 8,000 mg of L-Citrulline Malate per serve
Betaine Anhydrous also known as Trimethylglycine, or TMG for short, is a natural compound that is found in the body. Betaine plays a few roles in the body but is most known for providing similar benefits to Creatine. Muscular Power and Energy have been studied benefits of Betaine Anhydrous. On top of this, Betaine, is known for its ability to reduce homocysteine levels dramatically, even from a single serve. High levels of homocysteine have been linked to cardiovascular and other health complications.
Dose p/serve: 2,500 mg of Betaine Anhydrous
Recommended dosage: 2,500 – 5,000 mg Betaine Anhydrous per day
PeakO2 [Cordyceps militaris (Cordyceps), Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi), Pleurotus eryngii (King Trumpet), Lentinula edodes (Shiitake), Hericium erinaceus (Lions Mane), and Trametes versicolor (Turkey Tail)]
PeakO2 is an organic-certified combination of six Ayurvedic mushroom strains. These mushrooms are powerful adaptogens, which allow athletes to adapt to and overcome physical and mental stress, giving you the extra edge you want to take your training to the next level. PeakO2 is brought to us by the ingredient masterminds over at Compound Solutions. PeakO2 has been shown to boost both endurance AND power, its a real powerhouse ingredient.
Dose p/serve: 2,000 mg of PeakO2
Recommended dosage: 1,000 – 2,000 mg of PeakO2 per day
Choline Bitartrate or ‘Choline Salt’ is a specific variation of the nutrient Choline. Choline stimulates the formation of Acetylcholine, a vital neurotransmitter compound involved in all key brain functions and mental sharpness. Choline will help support cognition, mental alertness and delay the onset of mental fatigue.
Dose p/serve: 500 mg of Choline DL-Bitartrate
Recommended dosage: 500 – 2,000 mg of Choline DL-Bitartrate per serve
Dynamine (as Methyliberine)
Dynamine, technically known as methylliberine, is a trademarked purine alkaloid found in the Kucha tea leaf and produced by the ingredient manufacturer Compound Solutions. Its a derivative of caffeine and its molecular structure is similar to TeaCrine® and with that similar structure, methylliberine may amplify feelings of energy, mood and focus by activating dopamine receptors and other key neurotransmitters, inhibiting adenosine receptors, all without elevating heart rate or blood pressure. Where Dynamine differs to TeaCrine® is the speed at which these effects onset, Dynamine is designed to go to work immediately, with effects being experienced after only 15 minutes. It has been designed to work perfectly with Caffeine and TeaCrine®.
Dose p/serve: 300 mg of Dynamine 40% (as Methyliberine)
Recommended dosage: 100 – 300 mg of Dynamine 40% (as Methyliberine) per serve
VASO6 [Green Tea Extract (leaf)]
VASO6 is a Green Tea extract standardized for only the most effective blood flow enhancing fractions specifically to promote vasodilation therefore resulting in much greater production of Nitric Oxide, as well as increased nutrient and antioxidant delivery. Increased muscle pumps, recovery and performance have also been documented. VASO6 has changed the industry of blood flow boosting ingredients by setting a new standard of effects!
Dose p/serve: 300 mg of VASO6 per serve
Recommended dosage: 300 mg of VASO6 per serve
Caffeine is the world’s most widely consumed psychoactive drug. Caffeine is a stimulant which means it speeds up the communication of messages between the brain and body. Caffeine is found in a variety of products such as Coffee, Tea, Soft Drinks, Energy Drinks and Energy Supplements. Caffeine hits the adenosine receptor so it can no longer fire the fatigue signal in the body.
Dose p/serve: 300 mg of Caffeine per serve.
Recommended dosage: There is no clinical dose for caffeine.
TeaCrine® brought to us by Compound Solutions, is a compound chemically similar to Caffeine but functions very differently. TeaCrine® is not actually a stimulant and has no increasing effect on heart rate or blood pressure. Unlike caffeine, you DO NOT build a tolerance to the effects of TeaCrine® so you will continue to feel it day after day. TeaCrine® smooths out the energy lift you get from caffeine so you do not experience any jitters, as well as this it extends the life so there is no crash. Caffeine alone will typically provide 2 hours of energy; when you pair TeaCrine® with caffeine you will get 4 – 6 hours of energy. Studies have shown that caffeine actually enhances the bioavailability of TeaCrine® so you get more from each dose when paired together.
Dose p/serve: 150 mg of TeaCrine® (40% Tasteless)
Recommended dosage: There is no clinical dose for TeaCrine®
Huperzine A is a compound that is found in the plant toothed club moss. Huperzine A is an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor meaning it has an effect of stopping the breakdown of acetylcholine thereby increasing both the level and duration of action of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the body. Acetylcholine is the neurotransmitter used at the neuromuscular junction, meaning it is the chemical that the motor neurons of our nervous system release in order to activate muscles. Huperzine A, by increasing levels of acetylcholine, improves nerve and brain function while also improving the signalling of muscular contractions.
Dose p/serve: 5 mg of Toothed Club Moss (yielding 50 mcg Huperzine A)
Recommended dosage: 100 – 200 mcg of Huperzine A is ideal per serve
Let’s have a look at what Warning Order has to offer. We have 9 ingredients, of which 4 are patented / trademarked ingredients not bad, not bad at all. We have come to expect a certain level of trademarked ingredients being used in formulas and with almost 50% of the ingredients being trademarked, thats pretty impressive from Warning Order.
How about covering all aspects of a complete pre-workout, lets see how Warning Order stacks up…
Muscular Endurance – PeakO2 & L-Citrulline Malate
Muscular Power – PeakO2 & Betaine Anhydrous
Muscle Pumps – L-Citrulline Malate & VASO6
Mental Focus – Caffeine, Dynamine, TeaCrine®, Choline & Huperzine A
Energy – Caffeine, Dynamine & TeaCrine®
With a minimum of 2 ingredients covering each element we expect from a complete pre-workout, Warning Order is really starting to stack up as a very strong contender in the pre-workout market. How about dosing though? Technically speaking, Warning Order has 8 out of 9 ingredients at a clinical dose (per 2 scoops). With the only ingredient falling below clinical level being Huperzine A, which is an ingredient we commonly see being underdosed.
Would we change anything? Of course we would, we always would if we could. We just dont know whether these changes would improve the product or make it unbalance as we are making these suggestions purely based on the formula on paper and nothing else. There are 3 ingredients that stand out as being on the lower end of the scale, dosing wise.
TeaCrine® being dosed at 150 mg (per 2 scoops) is on the lower end of the scale when we compare it to the 300 mg of Dynamine and 250 mg of Caffeine in the same serving size. Not a massive increase but anywhere from 200 – 250 mg of TeaCrine® would be our suggestion or, at least, a formula we would like to test and feel the difference.
The remaining 2 ingredients are Choline Bitartrate and Huperzine A, with the latter actually falling below clinical dose. These a both key ingredients in the mental focus element of Warning Orders formula and does make us question the effects you would experience. Choline Bitartrate is, unfortunately, not the best form of Choline on the market due to poor absorption in the body. We would either swap it out for Alpha GPC or CDP Choline in a similar dose or double the dose of Choline Bitartrate currently in the formula. As for Huperzine A, we just want more, and to be more precise we would like to see at least double the amount per scoop being offered.
Taste & Consumability:
Force Element Performance has given us two flavour options with Warning Order; and they are Blue Raspberry & Sour Gummy. Immediately, just looking at the formula we are skeptical of how this product will taste. The reason being we have some amazing ingredients that are known to taste well… bad. For those who havent tried a formula using Dynamine, TeaCrine®, PeakO2, Choline Bitartrate & VASO6, whether they are all there or just some, the product either tastes fine or just downright terrible. So which one is it?
The good news is both flavours here have been deemed nice / good / drinkable by the whole team here. Blue Raspberry being the favourite over the Sour Gummy with the team. Its not an easy job to mask extracts that are strong in taste, let alone throwing in 2 grams of mushroom extracts into the mix. Force Element Performance has done a great job with flavouring the entire formula. To put it real simple Warning Order tastes good, not great, but good.
We finally got there, the REAL reason you are reading this and the reason we take pre-workouts those actual effects. Straight away from the ingredients list, the dosing and the even the flavours, Warning Order has us in a positive mindset and expecting good things!
First things first, do you feel it come on? With no Beta Alanine in the formula, we do lose the initial tingles some people love and some hate. Regardless of how you feel about them, when you do feel them you know the pre-workout is going to work. The feeling you get from Warning Order isnt the same as a Beta Alanine rush of tingles but more of a surge of mental alertness, almost as if, sounds become crisper, colours brighter and your attention focuses faster.
This is a great start because we were concerned about the focus elements of the formula. Were confident to say the smaller dosages of Choline and Huperzine A get backed up by the whopping dose of Dynamine, the right amount of Caffeine and also the TeaCrine® plays a role in this surge of alertness too. Right away, we are off to a good start!
Then we start training and Warning Order really goes to work! The performance-enhancing benefits of this formula are possibly some of the best we have experienced. Strength, power, endurance and even wellbeing were all at an all-time high while training on Warning Order. So much so we have to test out other pre-workouts every 2nd or 3rd day to make sure we werent just having a good week. Long story short, there are significant performance benefits from using this pre!
What about the muscle pumps?! Dont worry, we would never skip over the muscle pumps. Warning Order has a relatively simple pump blend or L-Citrulline Malate and VASO6 but the beauty of this formula is simplicity just works! The pumps you will get will surprise you session after session after session!
Will this pre handle any workout you throw its way? We really think it will! From short 1 hour arm sessions to those 2 hour gruelling leg day workouts, Warning Order should be able to deliver just what we want from a complete pre-workout! Needless to say, it has really impressed us!
What’s The Verdict?
On paper, Warning Order looks impressive. In the real world, Warning Order is even more impressive! The team over at Force Element Performance have really put a lot of thought into the formula of this product, creating a all-in-one, tackle anything pre-workout that will leave you wanting more exercises to do! If you arent in the market for a new pre-workout to try, you must already be using Warning Order!
