Carbohydrates are one of the three essential Macronutrients, known mostly for their contribution toward providing the body with a readily available source of energy. Carbohydrates are also required in order for your body to a broad range of internal functions, including maintaining a healthy digestion, hormonal and metabolism function. Carbohydrates are an essential macronutrient used by athletes, both performance and aesthetic, in a bid to fuel their muscles and ensure recovery is achieved. Carbohydrates vary in powdered form, depending on their source.
